|Favourite race||Anywhere off the grid, South West Rocks and Hell of the West are a few that come to mind.|
|Hardest race you’ve had to get too||In 2002 a bunch of guys that didn’t speak a word of English threw me in the boot of a tiny old rusted ’57 East German built Trabant to smuggle me across the border between the Czech Republic and Austria to race in the Austrian Police Championships.|
|Hardest race you’ve done||The French Duathlon Championships in Belfort. We were ripping through the uneven cobbled lanes of a fortified castle, with 80 other lunatics, and running at full gas under moats and into endless dark corridors. It was more like a running of the bulls!|
|Biggest rookie error||Missing breaks on the bike due to lack of experience, and being a little overwhelmed, during my first year in the professional ranks.|
|Best piece of racing or training equipment||The wind trainer, you can’t hide.|
|How long in the sport||22 years|
|Best thing about triathlon||Being in a group that works well together and that you can count on gives you full confidence that you’ve done the work.|
|Coffee of choice||Piccolo|
|Groupset||SRAM Red Etap|
|Bars||HED Corsair E Flat|
|Wheels||HED Jet Black 6, Hed Jet Black Disc|
