Darren Adams – Coach Yamba
The Adams family has been well known for two wheel action, owning the largest motorcycle franchise in Australia during the 70’s and 80’s. Darren and Jarrad grew up with bicycles from a very early age. Darren raced in the first BMX meets in Australia in the 1970s. His passion for anything with wheels grew from there. Darren has qualified for representative level Rugby, touch, Oztag and running and has coached many junior and senior Rugby teams.
After competing in triathlons for over 15 years, Darren undertook coaching qualifications to support senior and junior triathletes within the beautiful surrounds of Yamba and the Clarence Valley. His triathletes proudly race under the Swift Multisport banner and are supported by our friendly collective at clubs, training camps and races.
Darren works individually with each athlete, and trains with the Yamba squad. He also runs junior programs with a specific emphasis on technique, participation and fun. Darren utilises the full array of methods and technologies developed by Swift Multisport and is mentored by lead coach Jarrad, who with Darren, keeps a close eye on all of the Yamba athletes.
