Great weekend of racing

It was tough conditions with rain in Cairns on sunday, but despite this Mark Timbs, Leigh Fry, and Luke Gilmore all threw the race kit on for the 70.3. Both Mark and Leigh both posted Pb,s while Luke took some good experiences away with him despite not an ideal prep.  Mark has just stated his Kona prep so he looks like he should be in good shape.

Ben Stevenson put his hand up for a bit more punishment and whilst being his first Ironman he and came away with a good result which Im sure he will be happy with considering a few set backs in recent weeks. So well done to him.

Over in the States Sam Douglas raced the 5150 in Mt Tremblant in Canada were he backed up from the 70.3 last weekend and finished 5th in a hilly hard course agains a good short course feild. Sam will be heading to 70.3 Syracuse this weekend where he is hopping for another great result following his 2nd place there last year
